Neighborhood Watch Contact: Officer Rod Hancock 386-626-7437
Police Non-emergency: 386-626-7400
Daily event logs and crime mapping can be found at the DeLand Police Dept. website.
Active Calls: Dispatch and communication services for the DeLand Police Department are provided by the Volusia Co. Sheriff's Dept.
Suspicious Activity: If you witness suspicious activity in your neighborhood, please do not hesitate to call the DeLand Police Department to investigate at 386.626.7400. Suspicious activity can be best defined as anything that just does not appear right or causes you to question what you may see. It is better to call and report the incident than for a criminal act to occur. Don't assume your neighbor will call it in. If you don't want to provide your name and address when calling, it's not required.
Be Aware: Glenwood Springs HOA encourages residents to stay aware and mindful of what's happening in their neighborhood. We can create a safer environment through cooperation and neighborly acts, like asking a trusted neighbor to keep newspapers from piling up on the driveway when out of town or having someone retrieve your mail. Keep a look out for suspicious vehicles /persons coming through the neighborhood late at night and report them. Additionally, every resident is encouraged to take a walk through the community. Let neighbors know if they've left a garage door open, or monitor the pool and park after hours. Be sure to report trespassing or vandalism to 911. We'll continue to employ the house alarm call-to-action. Everyone within earshot is asked to respond to a house alarm that continues sounding for more than a few seconds.
City of DeLand Residential Code Enforcement : The City of DeLand has a standard code for residential neighborhoods. Non-compliance results in a warning first, and then becomes more serious. If you see code violations, contact the city code violation officers at 386-626-7028 or 386-626-7029.
